The ICASS VIII Organizing Committee aims to provide a sustainable congress to save resources and reduce waste.

Here are some sustainable solutions to be considered:

* provision of digital copies of conference materials and/or print double-sided to minimize wasted paper
* use of reusable name badges
* provision of group transportation for delegates
* congress meals prepared on-site will include sustainable practices such as composting and the use of locally grown foods/products

Congress participants can help out too!

* bring a reusable water bottle to take advantage of the on-site water stations
* compensate for greenhouse gas emissions by purchasing carbon offsets
* use public transit or share taxi cabs with other delegates to get to/from campus
* use the many recycling bins located all over campus
* use the composting bins for food waste
* minimizing the use of electrical consumption - Last Out - Lights Out!
